In my introduction I posted about what really got me to finally start blogging. I really have been thinking about it for quite a while. I am one of the few people I that I know of that knows a little bit about everything in the computing world. I have many years of experience in Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. And I have some experience in web site design and development (programming for the non-techies).
I am also one of the growing population of geeks that are actually somewhat social. In fact most of the time I leave my computer geeky-ness at work, and barely touch a computer outside of it. With all of the experience I have it’s kind of hard to believe that I have really only had a job for about six months. I graduated college nearly a year ago, and once finished with my internships I was hired on to my current position.
What is my current position? My title is “Web Applications Administrator” at a little company called Leupold & Stevens Inc. For those of you don’t know they are a leading manufacturer of high performance optics (rifle scopes, binoculars, spotting scopes, etc…). They are a great company to work for, even if they aren’t in the high-tech industry. Don’t ask me what I do because it would take forever to explain it all (unless you are a geek as well) and even then you probably wouldn’t understand.
